Preventing Laptop Theft: Six Remote Laptop Tracking Reviews

Nerd Den wrote up a review of six remote laptop tracking software solutions, the top two solutions are both GadgetTrak products, the first is GadgetTrak Search & Destroy for Windows  which helps solve the growing laptop theft crisis by enabling IT departments to not only track the device down, but also destroy data on the system remotely, helping to mitigate the risks associated with a data breach and identity theft.

Second is a newer product from GadgetTrak called MacTrak which utilizes wi-fi networks to get the location of the device, with accuracy of up to 10-20 meters. Not only that but the software also utilizes the built in iSight camera to capture images of the thief and integrates with Flickr. Very cool!
